f. 1. Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the British monarch.

Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a rallying point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis. The Palace's measures 108 meters by 120 meters, is 24 meters high and contains 77,000 square meters of fioorspace (828,818 sq ft).

2. The Royal Palace in Stockholm is considered to be one of the biggest in the world. The Palace is the official residence of the head of the state. It has 550/606 rooms and is considered the biggest working palace in the world.

3. The palace of Chinese Emperors is another example of the biggest palaces in the world. It was constructed in the form of a rectangle with sides 960 and 750 meters. It occupies the area of 72 hectares.

g. 1. Sophocles was the second of the three ancient Greek tragedians whose

work has survived. The most famous of Sophocles' tragedies are those concerning Oedipus and Antigone: these are often known as the Theban plays, although each play was actually a part of different tetralogy, the other members of which are now lost. Sophocles influenced the development of the drama, most importantly by adding a third actor and thereby reducing the importance of the chorus in the presentation of the plot. He also developed his characters to a greater extent than earlier playwrights such as Aeschylus.

2. Homer is a legendary ancient Greek epic poet, traditionally said to be the author of the epic poems the Iliad and the Odyssey. The ancient Greeks generally believed that Homer was an historical individual, but modern scholars are skeptical: no reliable biographical information has been handed down from classical antiquity, and the poems themselves manifestly represent the culmination of many centuries of oral story-telling and a well-developed "formulaic" system of poetic composition. According to Martin West, "Homer" is "not the name of a historical poet, but a fictitious or constructed name."
